The Village of Albany is seeking a dependable, motivated, and skilled individual to serve as Assistant Public Works Superintendent. This is a full-time position with benefits and offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to grow into a future leadership role within the Public Works Department. Under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will assist with daily operations, supervision, reporting and coordination of department activities and will assume the responsibilities of the Superintendent in their absence. Duties include but are not limited to the ability to prepare and file required operational and regulatory reports, general computer skills, work on streets, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, snow removal operations, mowing and seasonal ground maintenance, recycling center, cemetery maintenance, parks and public property upkeep, participate in equipment operation, maintenance and repair. Must possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL if required; and must possess or be able to obtain Wisconsin DNR certifications for both water and sewer. Must live within a 15-mile radius of the village. There will be a mandatory math test given at the time of interviews. The Village of Albany is seeking Cross Walk Volunteers to monitor the cross walk at the intersection of Highway 59 and Mechanic Street during the school year when school is in session.
