Polls are open for in-person voting today, Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 7am – 8pm.  Please remember to take all precautionary measures for the safety of us all!  Thank you!


In-Person Absentee Voting

In-person: You can vote in-person by absentee for the August 11, 2020 election at the Village Clerk’s office from 7am – 5pm Monday through Friday until August 7, 2020.  Please call 608-862-3240 to set up an appointment ahead of time.  We will need the Absentee Application filled out and remember to bring a picture ID.  Please note, this is ONLY for the August 11, 2020 Fall Partisan Primary election, NOT the November General Election.  

Online:  You can request an absentee ballot online by going to myvote.wi.gov.  You will need to attach a copy of your photo ID along with this request. 

 


2020 CENSUS

WE ALL COUNT!!!

I count. You count. Grandparents count. Newborns count. Everyone you’ve seen today counts!

If you’ve lived in the country only a few weeks or for your entire life, YOU COUNT!

If you live alone, with family, with friends, or with people you don’t know all that well, YOU ALL COUNT!

If you haven’t completed your 2020 Census yet, don’t worry, you still have time to respond and help make sure that our community counts when it comes to funding for vital servics.  Programs like Medicare Part B, special education, school lunch programs, supplemental nutrition assistance programs, and many more receive funding due to census responses.  Set aside 10 minutes today to respond either online or by phone and take PRIDE in knowing you did your prat to make our future brighter!  Visit 2020census.gov to learn about why the census matters so much to all of us!

Snow Parking Reminder

§ 260-18. Parking during snow emergencies.

             A.        Hours.

                         (1)        After a snowfall of more than one inch, no parking shall be permitted from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on the following streets:

Main Street From Sugar River Bridge to Mechanic Street
Milwaukee Street Between Water Street and Mechanic Street
Oak Street Entire Length
Water Street From Milwaukee Street to the village storage shed (pumphouse #1)

                        (2)        If snow removal is necessary from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on such streets, the Chief of Police may require vehicles parked thereon to be moved as needed to permit snow removal.

             B.        Parking is prohibited on all other village streets for 24 hours after snowfall of one inch or until snow removal is completed.

            C.        Any vehicle parked in violation of this section may be towed away at the direction of the Chief of Police. The towing and storage, if required, shall be charged to the owner of the vehicle.


Village Hall Closed November 28 & 29

The Village Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2019 for the Thanksgiving Holiday!  Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!
